The following awards will be presented during ICCN-2025.

• Excellent Young Scholar Award for Carbon Neutrality

  Call for Applications: Excellent Young Scholar Award for Carbon Neutrality

  The Excellent Young Scholar Award for Carbon Neutrality is awarded every two years and is presented at the International Conference on Carbon Neutrality. It is awarded to 2 to 3 excellent young scholars who are no more than 40 years old (born on or after January 1, 1985) and have been actively engaged in the research field of carbon neutrality. This award aims to honor their innovative contributions, encourage young scholars to pursue research with a significant impact on advancing carbon neutrality goals, and enhance their recognition and influence within the global carbon neutrality research community.

  1. Eligibility of Candidates:
     • Hold a Ph.D. degree in a field related to carbon neutrality, including but not limited to low carbon energy, ecosystem carbon sink and environmental governance, carbon finance, management and policy, etc.;
     • Be no more than 40 years old (born on or after January 1, 1985);
     • Must attend the award ceremony at ICCN-2025 in person.
  2. Application Documents:
     Applicants should compile the following documents into a single PDF file:
     • A cover letter summarizing the applicant's academic contributions;
     • The applicant's curriculum vitae (CV);
     • Three letters of recommendation;
     • Five representative papers.
  3. Selection Process：

     The complete application package should be submitted via email to iccn@sjtu.edu.cn by June 30, 2025. A dedicated Award Committee will be established to evaluate candidates and select the awardees.

  4. Assessment Criteria
     The following criteria will be considered during the assessment:
     • Academic excellence;
     • Originality and broad applicability of the research;
     • Significance and impact of the research in the field of carbon neutrality.
